Because Ecowoowoil's Plant
Oil Technology goes in to your timber and not just on it's
surface, it increases the lifespan of your timber by providing
superior protection in three ways:
Protection
from Dry Rot
Dry Rot is caused by micro-organisms
living in the timber. Ecowoodoil not only protects against
Dry Rot by the integrity of its barrier on the surface,
but also from within the timber by using the traditional
natural antiseptics found in Eucalypt Oil, Bees Wax, Gum
Turpentine and Pinewood Oil.
Protection
from Wet Rot
Wet Rot is caused by moisture becoming trapped in the timber.
Ecowoodoil effectively restricts moisture from entering
the substrate, yet still permits the timber to breathe.
With most other Timber Finishes the moisture becomes trapped
- and a broken or worn plastic film will let additional
moisture in which then has difficulty evaporating (particularly
around the end grain at edges and joins).
Protection
from Splitting
When timber becomes excessively
dry, it will tend to split and crack, enlarging the amount
of surface area that is vulnerable to weathering. Ecowoodoil’s
natural ingredients nourish and lubricate the timber from
within, restricting cupping, checking and splitting.
Protection
from UV Rays
As with all Timber Finishes,
coloured pigments not only gives a choice in the final look
of the finished timber, but its principal purpose is to
absorb Ultra Violet Radiation at the surface. Ecowoodoil’s
external finishes have three transparent woodtone colour
options. The best option depends on a/ the type of timber
and b/ the weathering it has previously been exposed to.
Plant Oil Technology not
only provides better protection for your timber, but it
is far simpler
to maintain than using traditional synthetic Oil or
Water based finishes. Its is also less harmful to your health
and to the Environment.
